George Jebaily receiving award plaque from Don Strickland

Attorney George D. Jebaily, Managing Partner of the Jebaily Law Firm, was recognized with an Urban Board Member of the Year award from the Transportation Association of South Carolina (TASC) on March 13.

Jebaily serves as a board member for the Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA). He has also served on the Florence City Council since he was elected as an at-large member in 2014, and he currently serves as Mayor Pro Tem.

Don Strickland, Executive Director of the PDRTA, presented Jebaily with a plaque commemorating the honor on behalf of the TASC during a ceremony at the City Council Chambers in Florence.

TASC is a nonprofit organization whose objective is promoting public transportation in the state. PDRTA provides public transit services throughout the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, including Florence.

“I am honored to receive this recognition for the important work we do on the PDRTA board to provide mobility services to residents in Florence and surrounding communities in the Pee Dee region,” Jebaily said.

Jebaily is the lead attorney for the Personal Injury Team at Jebaily Law Firm, where he represents people who have suffered injuries through the negligence of others in all types of accidents. Jebaily has practiced with the firm since 1984.

In addition to serving on City Council and the PDRTA board, Jebaily has been active in many community organizations, including the Florence Downtown Development Corporation (FDDC), the South Carolina Arts Alliance, the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce, and the Florence Little Theatre Board of Directors, among others.

A partner in the Jebaily Law Firm, attorney Brian S. Yost focuses his legal practice on workers’ compensation and personal injury law, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, workplace injuries, wrongful death, and more. He has practiced law in South Carolina since 2013.


Brian is a native of the Pee Dee region, having graduated from high school in Marion and earning his undergraduate degree from Coastal Carolina University in Conway. He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Brian is admitted to practice law in South Carolina and in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.


His professional and community involvement includes graduating from the Florence Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Florence program and serving on the Board of Governors of the South Carolina Association for Justice. Brian is also a member of organizations, including the Florence County Bar, the Injured Workers Advocates of South Carolina, the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association, the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and The Stanford E. Lacy Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court.
