How long will my Social Security case take? So, this is the worst question with the worst answer. It can take up to four years for your Social Security case. Things may shift, they may get faster but approximately four years. I have a case recently that I looked back, she had initially applied in July of 2021. Her case was heard and we were successful in July of 2025. It is a long, difficult process. We will be here with you throughout the process, we will answer questions, we will do everything we can to help steer you in the right direction but it is not a fast process. There are certain exceptions that can be made to speed things up if there are dire circumstances but those are rare so we'll be here with you, we'll talk you through it but it's tough and we understand that.
