DESCRIPTION:The North Myrtle Beach Rotary is hosting a Fundraiser at 3001 Nightlife.  The fundraiser is to Create Awareness to Human Trafficking.  The event is themed a Speakeasy.  3001 will become the Stork Club that night. A few classic cars will be parked outside for photo ops.  The Karen and Carl Duo will be playing in Bourbon Cowboy and the Z Street Speakeasy Band from Orlando will be in Club Rewind.  Christopher Robbins and his dance troupe will be in the house and dancing with guests. Hors d’oeuvres will be passed and guest speakers will make you aware of what is happening with human trafficking and what the community can do to create awareness and prevention.

DESCRIPTION:The Florence County Museum’s new exhibit is Legend: Francis Marion in the Pee Dee. This exhibit will focus on the military career and subsequent legends and legacy of General Francis Marion (1732 – 1795). The exhibition will feature a selection of important 19th-century American artworks depicting Marion and his militia during the Revolutionary War with interpretive emphasis on how Marion’s activities in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina contributed to the folkloric “Marion mythos.” These artworks will be requested as loans from major national public & private collections. As much as possible\, the exhibition will incorporate historical artifacts recently recovered from archaeological sites associated with Marion’s local military activities. Loans of available authentic primary source archival materials such as documents and maps will be explored to the extent that they would sustain the exhibition’s objectives by adding meaningful support to the overall thesis.

Concert goers may bring chairs to sit in this area to listen to the concert.
