Downtown Florence Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to visit a new lunch or dinner spot or rediscover old favorites. The participating restaurants and their menus or specials will be posted on the Downtown Florence website ahead of the event. Reservations are encouraged\, and parking downtown is FREE!

SUMMARY:12th Annual Run for Brighter Days
DESCRIPTION:The Run for Brighter Days is a run/walk at Lynches River County Park located on Lynches River in the Pee Dee region. The park includes a cool Environmental Discovery Center with interactive fun and live exhibits\, and to round out the fun there is a treetop canopy walk. They will have good tunes again this year with Roadtrip Radio\, along with awards and a variety of food for all. The 5k/Walk Start time is 8:30 AM and Kids Fun Run starts at 7:45 AM. All Kids get a Free t-shirt and Medal!

City Manager\, Randy Osterman\, said\, “The City is proud of the new Florence Sports Complex and plans to utilize the space throughout the year to provide recreational opportunities as well as an entertainment venue to the Florence community. We hope this is the first of many outdoor concerts at Carolina Bank Field.”

The inspirational story\, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp\, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp\, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria\, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.
